The 2011 BDS Logan City Cup will see 80 teams compete, 1,200 junior players participate and 6,000 spectators experiencing the tournament over 6 days of football with 328 games being played.


The football tournament will be held during the school holidays in July 2011 with games commencing on Monday 4th July and concluding with 8 grand finals on Saturday 9th July 2011.


The tournament is open to Football Federation Australia affiliated clubs and will see junior players participating in 8 age groups ranging from Under 9 to Under 16 years of age. 


The BDS Logan City Cup will be hosted by Rochedale Rovers Soccer Club and has been officially sanctioned by Football Queensland.


Any profits from the tournament will be reinvested into Junior Development Programs, ground and facility improvements.


Rochedale Rovers provides a professional development program that is open to any child within the Logan or Brisbane areas regardless which club the child is affiliated to


 Alex Tobin announced as the Ambassadore for the Tournament


We are extremely pleased to announce that the Official Ambassador for the Tournament is Alex Tobin.


Capped by the Socceroos no fewer than 87 times - many as Captain, he stood for many years as the most capped player ever to represent the Socceroos until recently surpassed by Mark Schwarz.

The Alex Tobin Medal

In 2008, the PFA Tobin Medal was inaugurated by the Australian Professional Footballers Association (PFA). It is to be awarded annually by the PFA to a current, or a former, player based on four attributes demonstrated by Alex Tobin throughout his career and which reflect the philosophy of the PFA. Leadership, achievement as a player, commitment to ones fellow professionals and (service and dedication to the game. The first two medals were conferred on Joe Marston and Johnny Warren, posthumously
